(3) Adopt rules establishing reporting rules for any employee of a State entity who has direct supervisory or other control over an employee of the Department or of another State agency of this State. The report of each injury occurring on state premises during its normal operations shall be filed by the chief medical officer of the department within ten days from the time of the occurrence. The period within which the employee must make a report to the chief medical officer shall not exceed seventy-five business days from the time of the occurrence. In the event the death of the employee or injury results from a criminal act, as defined in the Code of Georgia Annotated, or a criminal conspiracy as defined in that Code, the report shall be filed and the report form shall be provided for the report and within twenty-four hours unless the employee or the officer of the State providing a facility agrees to a longer period of time, in which case the report and form shall be provided to the employee or officer within twenty-four hours. The report of any injury to an employee must be filed by the chief medical officer of the State within seven business days from the time of the injury.
